Messi and his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, have asked more than 260 guests at the wedding to pay no presents but to contribute to Techo, an NGO dealing with the world's fight against poverty.

Techo Argentina, received 200,000 pesos from donations made during the wedding of Lionel Messes and his wife, Antonela Rocczzo, writes Indexline.
This amount will enable the nongovernmental organisation to build eleven emergency shelters.
The NGO did not want to talk about numbers in their statement. “Bessnik to our principles of transparency, we want to announce that 10 emergency shelters have been built by now”.
A total so far is about 11,000 dollars, an average donation of about $45 for each of the guests at the ceremony. An inappropriate amount for millionaire guests.
Beyond the results of the collection of donations during marriage, The NGO thanked the Messi family for its commitment to the most vulnerable communities in Argentina.
Techo hopes this gesture can lure more people to help you concretely: “We hope that much more will be encouraged to support such initiatives and co-operate in this regard”.
