Brugnaro claims the city of Venice is safer than Barcelona, where eventually 14 people died of a terrorist attack, writes the British newspaper Mirror, broadcast Koha.net.
He has compared his country to Barcelona, saying that “compared to Barcelona, where they had created no protection, we should keep our role”.
If someone screams in our St. Mark's Square “Allahu Ecber” we'll kill him”, the mayor said.
Two suspects who were planning a knife attack on tourists have recently been arrested in Venice.
