Mimoza Kusari-Lila and Rasim Selmanaj have decided to leave the leadership with relevant municipalities to become Kosovo Parliament deputy.
Last Thursday's session, when the 120 deputies of the sixth legislature of the Kosovo Parliament solemnly sworn in, officially left these two municipalities in the hands of deputy speakers.
Kusari-Lila has told Indexline that she has been completely withdrawn from the obligations of the head of the Gjakova municipality.
I haven't been in Gjakova in the mayor's office in weeks. Obligations and responsibilities under law have fallen on the deputy chairman, Armend Vokshi”, she said.
The former mayor in the June elections received 20 thousand and 557 votes, providing the MP's seat in the Assembly.
Besides her resignation from the municipality has also confirmed Rasim Selmanaj. The one for Indexline has stressed that he is now only a deputy, not a speaker.
I haven't been to the office in a week and I don't exercise that assignment. The deputy mayor continues to take care of the municipality, Sami Cacaj”, Selmanaj said February.
The Central Election Commission certified the results of the June 11th elections on July 7th, while in them Rasim Selmanaj received 9844 votes, ranking 31st on the PAN MP list.
