The Council for Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms has reacted to the physical attack on journalist Parim Oluri, saying the attack on journalists is an attack on free speech.
The Council for Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms in Pristina strongly condemns the attack on journalist Parim Oluri, considering it a violent attempt against freedom of expression, the critical attitude against negative phenomena through intimidation of electronic and written media journalists, the attempt to restrict freedom of speech through intimidation and physical attacks on journalists is the way to anarchy and the suspension of laws in power.
Unidentified persons, on the evening of August 16, 2017, on the way to Bayram Kelmendi, the highly frequent route attacked portal journalist {Inseder) Mr. Parim Oluri causing injuries for which she was treated at QKUK. KMDLNJ estimates that its policy impact and intervention in all areas of life is greatly affecting the escalation of the situation, which is facing verbal terror, public lynching, and ending with physical assault and risking the lives of targeted persons who are in one way or another presenting obstacles to politicians or criminal interest groups.
