The direct influence of politics and politicians is causing sports in Kosovo to have major impasses. Politics has been controlling sports instead of postwar, and this situation has never changed.
That's how Agim Casapolis, with over 50 years of sports activity, first as basketball player and then as coach, selective and sports journalist, writes today “Koha Ditore”
Casaporly, in an interview for “Kahen”, says the situation in Kosovo's sport is heavy and without much hope for better days, if its mode of operation does not change quickly. He estimates that athletes are not the priority of leaders who are mainly in positions thanks to political support and more for personal favors.
Casapelli, in addition to his professional career as a player, coach and journalist, is also remembered for his involvement in the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. From that time on, he remembers the efforts he has made to change but has, according to him, been unable to achieve because of the powerful influence of politics.
