Gjilan police have arrested three journalists from former Soviet Union states today. The arrested persons are Yuri Georgievic from Latvia, Robion Denisov and his wife Vera, both from Estonia.
According to police, the reason for the association of three people in the police -- one with Latvia citizenship and two of Estonia -- is to understand whether they have entered Kosovo illegally or legally.
Kosovo's responsible security institutions have previously had information that the same are planning to come to Kosovo in order to launch propaganda against the country's interests, inciting hatred among communities, and insulting national figures.
Both detainees are known as pro-Russian and pro-Serbian.
The arrested persons are Yuri Georgievic from Latvia, Robion Denisov and his wife Vera, both from Estonia. They were arrested on the magistrate's road, as they had earlier conducted an interview with Partesh Mayor Dragan Nikolic, at his office in Pasjan.
The news has confirmed the deputy regional director of the Shaban Aszi Police. According to him, the reason for the association of three people in the police, one with Latvia citizenship and two of Estonia, is to understand whether they have entered Kosovo illegally or legally.
“We have been informed that they entered Kosovo many days earlier, but after having made some moves across our territory we are interested in the reason to stay here”, Azizi said.
Kosovo's responsible security institutions have previously had information that the same are planning to come to Kosovo in order to launch propaganda against the country's interests, promote hatred among communities, and insult national figures, RTK reports.
Both of those arrested are known as pro-Russian and pro-Serb. DENISOV has also had scriptures in the past against Kosovo. Before entering Kosovo, they have stayed a time even in Serbia, while in Kosovo they have entered Macedonia.
By the 1708.2017, they have entered Kosovo, where they have been received by some in the Serb community. Several visits to various cities have been realised by making efforts to provide material with the purposes of propaganda against Kosovo's interests. The same in Prizren have given interviews on Chinese television.
Before the arrest they have begun their propaganda campaign by publishing various photos where national figures are strongly offended.
Their goal has been to publish counterfeit data for Kosovo after leaving Kosovo and cultural heritage in order to prevent Kosovo from securing enough votes for membership in U. NESTO.
Arrested prorus allegedly were in co-ordination with Russian and Serbian circles, which are recently becoming strongly engaged in launching propaganda against Kosovo through false news, realism of various documentaries, including short films, etc.
There have been cases even in the past, and especially two years ago, when foreign journalists and documentaries entered Kosovo, who with clear orders worked against Kosovo membership in the U. NESTO. The similar case was that of Boris Malagurski, who has carried out propaganda documentaries against the Republic of Kosovo, which are financed by Belgrade and Russia.
