Fires have included many forest and pasture areas in the Mitrovica region and its municipalities, as well as in Drenas. In Mitrovica fires have broken out and have not died out in Shupkovc and in Kchiq, pines in Taragya have been burned in Vushter, while in Drenas tens of hectares of forest in “The Plaque Geuri of” in Godanca, writes today, the Zeri newspaper.

Tropical temperatures that have covered the entire country have caused fires in some forests and pastures of Mitrovica, Vushtrri and Drenas municipalities. Fires also include pine and pasture surfaces, while in the municipality of Mitrovica in the villages of Shupkovc and Great Kchiq are engulfed by fires, and despite the great efforts of fire crews even throughout the night of last night, fires have not died out.

South Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri, being convinced of the danger of fires that have erupted in these hearths, in Shupkovc and in Greater Kchiq, has stood up the backside Thursday, in areas covered by fires.
