Many have been confined to their homes by the huge amount of mud in the suburbs of the capital of Freetown, following torrential rains that have caused floods.

The landslide has occurred in the early hours of the morning in the mountainous city of Regent, while numerous witnesses have described roads as dirt slides.
Local media report that at least 200 lifeless bodies have been sent to the morgue.
