I feel Vucic's pain as well as his determination to solve Kosovo problem

I deeply respect Aleksandar Vucic's initiative to initiate an internal dialogue on Kosovo and thus directly and unconventionally confront the past - says in an interview for „Blicin“, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama. On Vucic's initiative, he says he was informed for the first time through the editorial that President [...]

On Vucic's initiative, he says he was informed for the first time through the editorial that the Serbian president wrote about „Blicin<x1 Serbian>.

First of all, let me tell you that I have been deeply touched by President Vucic's text published in your newspaper. By reading these lines, I was able to feel the genuine pain and at the same time the impressive determination. It was this gesture to thank your president and his text I published on my Facebook page. After that first step, Aleksandar Vucic went on to reveal a very encouraging vision for the future of Serbia and Kosovo”, Edi Rama says, among other things.

What is the solution to the Kosovo problem in your opinion?

Simply: full recognition of the independence of the Republic of Kosovo on the part of Serbia! But when you put yourself in Alexander's shoes, I'm aware it's much easier to say than to do that. For that, for now we can say it's important to work with persistence, all together, until we find the solution. Patiently, directly and, why not, unconventional. We all need to keep in mind the fact that finding a solution to the issue is in the interest of all, not just Albanians. The sooner the better.

How did Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic comment on the possibility of the Kosovo problem being solved through division?

It doesn't help us get started, although I can say it's an unusual proposition. As it is about the idea that Serbia should be divided, while the Presevo Valley joins Kosovo, or the other one under which Kosovo should join Albania, and then simply Serbia would have to recognise such Albania, rather than Kosovo. However, it is clear that if we start out from such theoretical actions, these can be anything but practical, and for more, they can underestimate all the best goals. What is necessary at this stage is exactly what your president has initiated as internal dialogue, what could be worth happening in both Kosovo and Albania.

You have stated that you do not rule out the possibility of joining Albanians in Albania with Kosovo in the event of halting European integrations. This has caused strong reactions in Serbia. Can you explain what you thought about this?

I'm familiar with these reactions, and that still sounds ridiculous. What I've said is a three-day conclusion, not a plan, not a threat, not even a wish. Of course, if we assume that the horizon of European integrations could be closed to our region, there is little science to predict that the souls of the past will be resurrected. Is that clear?

Still clearer than your first statement. It seems to me that relations between Serbia and Albania are better than they were long ago. Surely the reason is good communication between you and the president of Serbia. How do you view these relationships?

These relationships, not only have been good than long ago, but better than ever. And I'm very proud of that, although it wouldn't be appropriate for all the credit for this to be gotten to me and my friend (Alexander Vucic). We were just the right people at the right time and in the right place.

How can economic co-operation deepen among our countries?

We are on the right track, things are getting better and better every day, but we have to do more, and it takes time and patience.

You've been basketball player in youth, you're an artist for educational formation, you're a political player. Which of these roles are you more comfortable in?

I would never be so brave as to call myself basketball player as I talk to a journalist from the basketball scene. Let's just say I loved basketball as part of my youth. I love Art as part of my wishes. Politics is part of my being.

I'm a stylist of myself.

You have an original, modern but unusual way of dress. We often see you with athletes at official events. Is it your choice or do you have a stylist?

- You're making me laugh bigger. Let's just say I'm a stylist.
