France's President Emmanuel Macron has filed a legal complaint against a photograph, charging that he violated his privacy while on vacation with his wife in Marseilles this week.
President Macron has been very reserved for his summer vacation, showing only that he would go to a country in France without revealing his name. His privacy request is in stark contrast with his predecessors Francois Hollande and Nicolas Sarcozy, who didn't mind if journalists were there while on vacation.
Mr. Macro had stayed in the city of Marseille in southern France in a private villa. French media said he had with him his security team to avoid paparazzi, The Telegraph reports.
But a photographer whose identity is not disclosed has ignored his warnings and chased 39-year-old president along with Brigite's wife by motorcycle. He followed suit despite repeated warnings from security staff, the French government said in a statement.
