Kosovo now is represented through Serbia's organs and through UNMIK. If any criminals were found who should be arrested by Kosovo territory, this issue already resolved” has told Pink Djuric TV.
“Those membership in Interpol would only be used for the pursuit of Serbian citizens, people who participated in protecting the country in 1999. They already list those who will be prosecuted and mistreated, including politicians”, he said.
Interpol membership enables each member autonomous action, Djurovic says Kosovo now needs the UN's consent to extradite anyone, but it won't happen if it becomes an Interpol member.
For Djuric, it is shocking that some opposition politicians, such as Sasa Jankovovic, as he has said are calling for Kosovo's membership in Interpol.
“I want to believe those people understand what it is about and say that Kosovo should join Interpol. We will fight against it and do everything to prevent Kosovo's membership at Interpol”, Djuric stressed.
