You may not believe it, but chocolate can heal your heart if you suffer from atomic fibrillation or sudden heart beatings.
So at least one new study says that chocolate can reduce the risk of irregular heart rate, writes Indexline.
According to this study, people who have eaten sweeties several times a week have been less likely to be diagnosed with aerial fibrillation, a disease related to an increase in heart rate.
So far, there is only limited research on the relationship between consumer chocolate and abnormal heart rate, affecting 33 million people worldwide.
It's halvanols in cocoa and cacao food meant to promote healthy functioning of blood vessels.
“We have noted an important link between chocolate eating and a lower risk of aerial fibrillation ) suggesting that even small amounts of cacao consumption can have a positive impact on health”, lead study author Dr Elizabeth Mosttofsky said from the School of Public Health, Harvard T.H. Chan.
