Analyst: PAN targets election, transitional government solution

The Kosovo Assembly will meet on Thursday in its fifth attempt to form the new government.

That the chances are high for the country to go to the polls again, says analyst Imer Mushkolaj, who according to him, the main impetus for extraordinary elections will be the PAN coalition.

“The most rational political solution would be, as if the political leadership so far reflected properly by understanding the danger from the consequences of this situation even for citizens, since it is remembered only during the elections. In that sense, it forms transitional government, 6-12 months, with authorized tasks, such as constitutional, electoral, demarcation, transformation of KSF... Meanwhile, parties for reform and new domestic elections are tasked. After the end of these priorities, new elections are organised which can actually create a sound parliamentary structure because they are unable by the JNS, all war and economic crimes suspects. In this way conditions will be created for a sound political leadership that would enjoy the full support of citizens and internationals”, Beqaj has said.

While Mushkolaj does not view forming a technical government as a solution, he has said that in case of failing to form the government, judicial opinion should be sought by the Constitutional Court.
