One of eight Americans can be considered an alcoholic, according to a new study in Jama Psycharity, broadcasts the Klan Kosova.
About 13 percent of adult Americans meet the alcoholism criteria defined by the Mental Disorders Statistics Manual.
The study, conducted between 2012-2013 that included 309 people, found that alcohol use has increased by 49.9 percent compared to the feasibility study conducted between 2001-2002.
