American Embassy no longer issues visas for Russians

The United States, starting on August 23rd, will suspend visa issuing in cities throughout Russia, due to the reduction in the number of American diplomats, the US Embassy has announced, writes Rtv21. tv

The procedures for visa issuing will resume in early September, but only in Moscow. The Russian citizens' visa is due to the Russian Government's decision to expel 755 American diplomats.

Starting on September 1st, all talk about visa requirements will be conducted only at the American Embassy in Moscow, was stressed in the communique.

The embassy announced that the previously scheduled interviews will be cancelled and that Russian citizens will be notified about this. Procedures have already been suspended at US consulates in St Petersburg and Vdalvostok.
