The alarm that a terrorist attack could strike Albania has prompted the State Police to take additional measures in the area of public security, organised crime, serious crimes and the border.

Europe over a week has been under red alert after terrorist attacks in the main city, such as the attack on Barcelona, where it left 14 people dead or in Finland where two people were stabbed.

There were also attacks in Germany and France with two dead men and in Russia with several wounded. Although there have only been recruits in Albania and not any signal for any possible attacks, the measures have been taken, the KJ broadcast.

So to boost security in the country, the Shet police suggest there will be increased police presence in uniform and agents on the ground, and control measures will be strengthened during activities with massive cultural-sport participation, shopping malls, strategically important objects and diplomatic body safety. Control measures at Border Cross Points, such as ports and airports, will also be strengthened, but on the green border for persons considered by risk, allegedly moving by illegal means and items.
