This is how tax coupon reimbursement will work

Kosovo's Tax Administration will continue with the reimbursement of fiscal vouchers, but in a new way. The renovation will be done through lottery selection. This change from citizens interviewed by Radio Kosovo is considered unmotivated, as the chances of winning now are small.

Kosovo's Tax Administration has changed the way citizens who collect fiscal vouchers. The ATK director, Sakip Imer, speaking of the new way of reimbursement, early in the week, said that no more than 4 thousand and 5 percent of citizens will be repaid from now on.

“One application must have 60 coupons and more than 250 euros worth. The potential winning number is selected. There must be 3,000 to 4000 citizens winning. The compensation value is 10 % of fiscal coupons, with a maximum of 100 euros”, he said.

The new form of reimbursement, however, is not well received by citizens. Some of the citizens interviewed by Radio Kosova say that this way of reimbursement is not motivating for the collection of fiscal coupons, since now they are the small prospects for remunturing. They say it's good to get back the old form that everyone took advantage of.

We've always collected. That's what a guy of mine did because he's out of work and he's done his studies with them. And now we're not putting together anymore, we never won the lottery. I've collected fiscal coupons in the past and I've got the value of reimbursement, but with this new form of reimbursement I don't think I'm going to collect again” coupons, he said, announces the rtlites.

Even after these changes, there are also those who say that even though they do not believe they will be selected as winners, they will still collect fiscal coupons, because that is good for the state.

I've been gathering constantly since the ATKI started. I've collected the coupons again and I'll deliver them this time. I don't believe I will win, but I hope the ministry will change the” decision, one citizen said, RTK quoted.

Repaying citizens who collected fiscal vouchers started last year. According to the Tax Administration, more than 24m euros for more than 1m applications have so far been repaid.
