The partial withdrawal of the United States from implementing the Paris Clima Agreement has called into question the full implementation of the pact, while leaders of other countries have expressed disappointment.
The first to react was Turkey's President, Rexhep Tayyip Erdogan, who at the closing press conference said the US decision to cancel the compensation fund to a number of countries constitutes a deviation from the preliminary line.
He added that at the moment Turkey signed the accord, France had provided guarantees that Ankara would be allowed components to adopt a series of measures which would be undertaken under environmental protection efforts. According to experts, the pact's rejection can also produce a dangerous domino effect, which seriously jeopardises implementation of the agreement.
Despite numerous divisions manifested among leaders at the G20 summit, as well as Turkey's expression of indecisiveness to ratify the Paris Accord, United States President Donald Trump named the work a success.
Through a post on the television social network, he praised the way the work was directed by Chancellor Merkel.
The U.S. President's office in a statement also indicated that Trump had also discussed North Korea during previous meeting with Chinese President Si Xinpin. In their conversation, leaders stressed the importance of disunlearising the Korean peninsula, with the goal of preserving regional peace and stability.
