23-year-old Bakari Henderson, from Texas in the United States, was hit with tough stuff by a group of Serbs, during a conflict in one of the island's tour clubs, two days ago, in an event where not only Greek media but also foreign media focused.
Recent information coming from after video analysis by the club's security camera, where the murder occurred, shows that the cause of banal fighting has been a photograph “selfie” that the American tourist asked a Serbian waitress when he was drunk.
While the security guard has intervened, the group of American tourists with whom the 23-year-old was located has begun to conflict with a group of Serbs and the situation is out of control. After the American tourist has fled the club, he has been chased by a furious crowd of Serbs who have shot him over and over again for more than 30 seconds by strong means, deadly shocks.
The detainees, 7 Serbs and a Greek, who are accused of presumption killings, will begin investigating Monday.
It is not the first time that Zakinthos' Laganas area becomes a scene of violence and shameful acts by drunk tourists.
The most recent case was in 2011 when a British citizen lost his life as a result of a stab attack by people who had consumed large amounts of alcohol.
