A few days ago, British car interest in using the Ferrari engine was confirmed, but it seems that the Italian brand is unwilling to cooperate.
And not only the Ferrari, but Mercedes has closed the doors for a partnership with McLaren, broadcasting Telesport.
In an interview for Sky Sports, Brown has indicated that he is still looking for a powerful engine for the next season, but it seems that “Honda is safe with us even during the coming year”
McLaren still has another year of contract with Japan's unsuitable Honda engine and quickly breaks down in the race, so he sought an early divorce to find a more powerful engine in the 2018 World Forum 1.
But both Ferrari and Mercedes have returned negative answers.
“Rivals don't want to help us with their engines, because they don't want us to be competitors. Obviously they want to see us defeated, in crisis. McLaren is a machine with history in Forum 1, so they prefer a rival less. This isn't fair”, Brown added.
