Lushtaku: PDK has lost contact with base (Video)

The former commander of the Drenica area, Sami Lushtaku, has been acquitted yesterday of all counts of war crimes for which he was sentenced to 12 years in prison by the Constitutional Court in North Mitrovica.

Lushtaku, during a brief interview on Telegrafii, has said that after his release from prison, emotions continue to stir as he puts it “a part of my fellow fighters are left behind bars”.

It's good to come home from all this injustice. It's not easy for me to be here today, while my fellow fighters are in Kosovo prisons”, Lushtaku said.

Speaking about his return to political activities, Lushtaku stressed that he will not leave politics, and that he does not believe he will be reruned for the mayor of Scikyright.

I won't leave politics, but I won't be anywhere near or far. About my return to the mayor I don't believe such a thing would happen”, Lushtaku said of the Telegraph.

Former Commander The KLA, also commented on the election of son Mergim Lushtaku, deputy, saying the time has already come for new generations, and that they will support it.

Despite minor criticism of the PDK, Sami Lushtaku stressed there are excellent reports with party chairman Kadri Veselin.

Commenting on the outcome of the elections where the PDK, together in coalition with AAK and Initiative, managed to secure the number of MPs nearly as much as in the past legislature, Lushtaku stressed that “The PDK has lost contact with ground”.

Sami Lushtaku has stressed that his desire has not been for grandchildren to grow in Kosovo in what we are today and with a justice system as it is today.
