Kosovo corrective service left without budget, cancels competition for 70 officers

Kosovo's corrective service has cancelled the competition for 70 officers because of the budget. The director of this service, Sokol Zogaj, hopes the new competition will be announced in January next year. Lack of budget has prompted the Kosovo Correcting Service to cancel the competition announced for the admission of 70 officers to the Gerdoc and Gjilan High Security Prison.
The director of this Sokol Zogaj centre says that after the new government is formed the next contest will be announced.
For this year alone, the Kosovo Correcting Service had predicted the employment of 60 officers in Gerdoc. While the prison in Gjilan was scheduled to employ 10 officers.
The competition was announced in June this year, and more than 6 thousand people had applied for 70 jobs.
