Justice Minister seeks “anulation” of the cancelled competition

The MD says it cancelled the competition a day after the report of “Koshere” that MD has illegally interviewed candidates for the position of director of the Correcting Service, even though the contest failed to meet the legal conditions and was cancelled by the Public Administration Ministry (MAP).

We consider the opinion that the Ministry of Justice, the Public Administration Ministry, has requested the announcement of the contest for director of the Correcting Service, as defined by the relevant provisions of the legislation in force for appointment to top civil service positions. In order to recruit a professional and independent candidate, the justice minister has demanded that the recruiting process be carried out with the British project, according to the memorandum of co-operation connected between the Parliament and the Government of Kosovo, as well as the Embassy of Great Britain”, a media communique of this ministry is said.

A day earlier when the newspaper contacted the minister, this institution has said they are unaware that something in this process has gone wrong to make the competition cancel.
