Iran bans Saudi ship, arrests its crew members

Five Indian citizens on the Saudi ship were arrested Friday after crossing the waters within Iranian territory in the Gulf, Ardashir Yarahmadi, spokesman for the fishing department in the Bushhr province, broadcast Express, said.

He has said this is the second time in the last month that a Saudi ship and its crew are banned by Iranian authorities.

Relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia are at their worst point over the years, with each other exchanging charges for the destruction of security and support of opposing sides in the conflicts in Syria, Iran and Yemen.
