No Headship Meeting, Constituent Session not expected for this week

The newspaper Blic reports that members of the Parliament's Headship were warned by the Secretary of the Parliament over the 11 o'clock telephone that sessions will be held, but that shortly it was canceled.

We were informed that the Headship of the Parliament would be gathered by 11:00, but it was canceled without giving us information”, said one of the members of headship under anonymity.

Meanwhile, Gazeta Blic sources explain that if the Assembly of Headship is not held today, there is no House accounting session held this week.

“The head of the Assembly must meet at least 5 days before the session is held”, this source said.

Gazeta Blic sources say PAN, despite securing 62 votes, is afraid to call the Assembly's session with these numbers.

“PAN is afraid so few numbers will enter the session. The danger of changing one of these MPs' minds has prevented them from rushing into calling session”, that source said.

On the other hand, the Secretary of the Parliament has not provided information on when the old headship meeting will be held.

Parliament Secretary Ismet Krasniqi has told the media that if the Assembly of Headship is held, the opinion will be announced over time on the official page of the Kosovo Assembly.

The office of the Kosovo president has provided no information if President Hashim Thaci calls the Assembly session.

Otherwise, elections in Kosovo were held on 11 June, while the Certificate of the results of these elections took place 8 July.

Although more than a month since holding elections, Kosovo has not yet created the new institutions, the constitution, and the formation of the government.

Coalition The PAN claims it has the numbers needed for forming the government, though only 39 MPs managed in the elections, while 61 votes are needed for forming the government.

AAK spokesman Muharrem Nitaj has said that the pre-election Democratic Party coalition, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Initiative and nominated for prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, are within their constitutional and legal deadline for the establishment of the Kosovo government.

The president of the country, under its competencies, is expected to call within this deadline for the Constitutional Assembly of the Parliament and then immediately proceed with the government vote. Therefore, the campaign of some parties and individuals, allegedly extending the Convention Constituent hearing, is fabricated and intended to put it into madness and deceive public opinion”, Nitaj said through a media communiqué.

Coalition Partners According to Him PAN, they are in the negotiating phase with potential partners, not to create numbers that are being speculated over extremely, but to create a broader governing political base, which the outcome of these consultations will be known soon after Ramush Haradinaj officially receives the mandate to establish the government.
