Grubi: Croatia Supports Macedonia's NATO Membership

The chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for European Affairs in Macedonia, MP Artan Grubi, has met Croatia's ambassador to Macedonia today, Daniela Barisic, with whom he has talked about the situation in Macedonia and the region, Euro-Atlantic prospects, neighbourly relations, the law on language use, as well as reforms.
During this meeting, MP Grubi asked Ambassador Barisic to intensify Croatian support for the country's quick membership in NATO and the EU.
At the meeting, Croatia was said to be Macedonia's great supporter and Skopje's Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
Grubi expressed full support for achieving good neighbourly agreement with Bulgaria as a step towards a more stable and secure region and encouraged Government to have the same courage in overcoming the name issue with Greece.
The immediate closure strategy of open issues with neighbours is good for the entire region, but in the middle of time, Parliament and Government must address systemic reforms and display Skopje's new face before our international friends, it was said at the meeting.
Grubi said the Commission for European Affairs has managed to ensure the superparty harmonisation of the accelerated Declaration of Integration and Reforming Processing that stems from the Perzyno Agreement and will be the foundation for the following reforms.
The conversationators also spoke of linguistic equality in line with the Constitution and the Ohrid Agreement, with what is Mr. Grubi announced the guest that the Law on Languages is already agreed on and is expected approval in Government to proceed with procedures at Macedonia's Venice Commission and Assembly.
