Freedom Jakupi frees from all charges

Freedom Jakupi, former fighter of three wars on Albanian soil, Kosovo Valley of Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanoc, and Macedonia's war has been cleared of all charges.

It is known that Lirim Jakupi had faced many counts of justice from both local, Serbian and international war crimes.

For works performed in Macedonia during September-December 2014, Freedom Jakupi was charged by EULEX. There was also charges against Jakup for committing the serious attempted murder, causing serious bodily injury, and assaulting official persons during the duty.

The case, according to EULEX, concerns claims the defendant, in September and December 2004, has attacked and opened fire on police officials in Skopje and Tetovo, causing serious injuries.

EULEX claims that Lirim Jakupi left the crime scene. He was arrested in Kosovo in January 2014 and has since been in custody. It was a joint investigation conducted by EULEX investigators of the organised crime unit along with prosecutors and investigators from the Republic of Macedonia has clarified EULEX.
