EULEX prosecution sends the case to Supreme Milaim Zeka, even though he was declared innocent

Although Milaim Zeka, then journalist at the time future Kosovo Parliament deputy from the Initiative's ranks, was declared innocent of a body EULEX on charges against “violation of the secret of the procedure” and “Trying to prevent the proven or official procedure and privacy”, his case has been sent to the Supreme Court of Kosovo.

The EULEX Prosecutor's decision has confirmed for Periscope itself, Milaim Zeka, who has called the decision a tendency to retaliate against him.

The return of the EULEX Prosecution case, according to Zeka, has argued with the description that the verdict and judicial process that has declared it innocent is “violation of legitimacy”.

According to Zeka, the EULEX Prosecution, in this case it is blackmailing other journalists who investigate and deal with cases that EULEX's justice holds in its hands.

EULEX's “Procurory has turned the case into Supreme, with the reasoning for violations of legitimacy. The danger is to turn the subject to zero. I view the decision as absurd and as the tendency of the EULEX Prosecutor for revenge against me. This can also be understood as blackmail against journalists”, Zeka told Periscope.

Zeka said EULEX is calling its decisions illegal, since its acquittal was made by the court EULEX, on scale 1 and 2.

Asked if sending the subject to the Supreme has to do with his entry into politics, Zeka has denied such an opportunity, saying the case was opened earlier.

Mitrovica Foundation Court, comprised of a trial panel EULEX, on February 12, 2016, had failed to prove that Zeka in co-operation with Rrustem Rucol has discovered the identity of witness A, who was on protective measures in the Drenica 1 and 2.

Zeka was accused of meeting with witness A, part of which the meeting was also businessman Rrustem Rukoli, part of Sami Lushtaku's defence team, but the prosecutor was dropped yesterday by the prosecution for him because he said he failed to prove his involvement in the case.

There is no doubt that Milhouse Zeka has met with Witness A. But the main question of the Court is that dealt with the defendant as a possible influence on witness A to provide an interview and to admit that he witnessed Drenica's case and that any force was used for this”, Judge Franciska Fischer said. /Periscopi/
