The DP leader's main opponent, Astrit Patoz, still called the vote “bringing in with the Democrats”, re-entering them in the boycott.
In fact, according to the official figures of the Democratic Party turnout is about 40% by 6:00, which is not little if you count a party race, rather a losing party. How true these figures are, are not known: no one can confirm or deny.
Edward Peace himself has called the boycott undemocratic.
GSH.al has managed to secure some of the processes administered at the main headquarters of the DP in Tirana. The Democratic Party's membership lists have marked people who have voted and those who have not voted. Along with the names of boycotting persons are also noted the reasons for nonparticipation for various reasons. “does not respond”, “It is at work”, “Unresponsible”, “will not vote”, “It is in Italy”, it can be read among the DP membership processes.
Of course, it cannot be said that all boycotters are part of the anti-Basa group. Many may have other reasons for not participating in the vote. But since important names in PD such as Topalli, Mustafaj, Patozi, Bode, Ruli, Bregu, Imami have called for boycotting and not legitimising the race, it can be said that in the rest of the Democrats, this claim had effect.
