The sun will soon enter a cycle of very weak activity. This moment is expected to come in two years, but it is a completely natural fact, since scientists too are unable to determine what will cause it.
That's what it says in a study published by the Royal Astronymical Society in the scientific magazine Mountly Notices.
The British study conducted by Yvonne Elsworth examined sound waves produced by earthquakes on earth's surface, which may determine the level of solar magnetic activity.
The sun is very similar to a musical instrument, in addition to the fact that its notes are very low at a very low frequency of about 100,000 times lower than notes, says Elsworth, noa.al.
This study was possible by means of Solar Oscillation Netek, a network of six telescopes distributed in six countries, where the sun's cycle will have minimal activity within two years.
It is an unusual moment for the sun, which in recent years has reduced its speed.
