The country's president, Hashim Thaci, is aiming to gather parliamentary political parties at a joint meeting in order to discuss a favourable date to hold Kosovo's constitutional and Assembly sessions.
But connoisseurs of political issues in the country find Thaci's invitation unreasonable.
Nexmetin Spahiu, says President Thaci is trying to play political games in order to make it appear as factors.
Vice President Hashim Thaci is trying to make as many political games as possible that have been factored into president. That's the reason, and that's in his nature since he's done the same things as he was prime minister. He's trying to get as much out of the situation as possible, and I've got to dwell on it and wait for what it's all about as a political factor. The moment they made the decree, the president's work is forgotten, because he focuses on the government and so on a lot of other things”, Spahiu said in a conversation about Indexline.
On the other hand, Albert Krasniqi from the Kosovo Democratic Institute says President Thaci is not obliged either by law or by constitution to extend such invitations to political subjects.
With the certificate of election results from the CEC side, the only constitutional and legal obligation of the president in this case is to call the constitutional session and then it is the old chairmanship that has the obligation to hold such a meeting with representatives of parliamentary political parties and jointly assign the agenda and agenda for the constitutional session. As such, then, there should not be an invitation from the president because it is unnecessary. The country is not in a crisis where institutions cannot be constitutionalised and where the president's intervention is required. If the coalition PAN does not have numbers, it does not mean that another parliamentary majority does not exist and cannot make the election of both president and prime minister”, Krasniqi said.
Otherwise, the meeting between President Hashim Thaci and parliamentary political parties is expected to be held on 24 July at 10:00 in the Kosovo Assembly.
