Relatively low prices are an important factor for Albanians, one of the poorest countries in Europe. Tens of tourist agencies offer 1-week packages from 350 euros per person to 1,000 euros for a five-star hotel. Children, depending on their age, pay half the price or even accompany their parents for free.
Tourist agents in Albania also mention Spain and Portugal as the most popular destinations for Albanians during the summer. However, the lack of direct flights from Albania with these countries remains an obstacle.
