The breach of a sewage pipeline in the Ksamil area has brought pollution to the coast. The event took place on the beach “Gjyri Poda” and to normalise the situation has also required military intervention, which after hours has turned normal on the beach of Ksamilton Top Channel.
Also, monitoring and disinfecting of the entire surface of the beach has been made possible, while effective support for cleaning up beaches and polluted areas on the coast, as the sewer drain has become possible.
In its response, the Saranda municipality suggests that the project for rehabilitation of sewage has been tendered, implemented and supervised independently by the European Union delegation in Albania, while apologizing to residents of the area and tourists, Albanians and foreigners.
