Kosovo Police in Co-operation with US DEA Arrest 10 Persons

Following investigations conducted over a three-month period, Kosovo Police, the Anti-Organised Crime Division, namely, the Directorate for Trafficking in Narcotics Investigation (DHTN) in co-operation with the US DEA has conducted three police operations. Investigations have been conducted in close co-operation with American officials in a parallel manner in both countries.
Two operations have been conducted in the Republic of Kosovo (Peja region) and one in New York. Supporting the implementation of operations have been participants: The Special Units Directorate, Directorate for Investigation Support, the Forenzic Directorate and other KPC police units in co-ordination with the Special Prosecutor and the competent court.
The first operation was performed on June 18, 2017, about 18:30, while the second operation was conducted on June 27, 2017, about 7:45 in Kline. Operations have resulted in the arrest of four (4) people in Kosovo and six in New York, as well as seized weapons and other material evidence.

By order of the competent prosecution, suspected persons have been sent to the detention centre for further legal procedures.
