I didn't know much about Kosovo before I came here. It was an initiative of the Russian ambassador demanding a fact-finding mission to come to Kosovo, thinking it would change the views of some of the members, especially those of the developed states of the world to be hostile in some way to Kosovo's independence. When I came here I was impressed with the condition, the majority of Kosovo, other minorities other than Serb ones were demanding independence. After the visit, I became convinced that independence was the only solution, so the Russian initiative had an anti-ex1>, Khalilzad told Klan Kosovo.
The American mind had tried to convince the former Russian ambassador to the UN at all times, now to the late Vitaly Churkin to vote positive for Kosovo's independence.
After a decade, he says he has not regretted having loved the independence of Kosovars.
He is satisfied with the country's development.
