The UN General Assembly on December 19th adopted a resolution on Jerusalem with a sweeping majority, calling on the US to withdraw recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, reports “Hurriyet Daily News”, Periscopi broadcast.
A total of 128 members voted in favour of the Jerusalem resolution, nine countries voted against and 35 others abstained. Twenty-one states did not vote.
Erdogan said the UN vote showed that money cannot be bought.
“> As you know, everyone stayed united in the UN... 128 against. That means, the vote cannot be bought with dollars or intimidation”, he said in a public address ahead of a congress in the southeastern province of Hakkari./Periscopi/
