I welcome and commend the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for today's decision to proceed for ratification in the Republic of Kosovo Assembly agreement on demarcation of the border line between the Republic of Kosovo and Montenegro.
I want to believe in the political and state will of elected citizens' representatives, but I also invite all deputies of the Republic of Kosovo Assembly, regardless of their party affiliation, to be united in ratifying this inter-state agreement.
Ratification of the agreement for marking the border line between the Republic of Kosovo and Montenegro ends the isolation of our country, enabling the removal of the visa regime, but also strengthens the international subjectivity of our state.
With the government's decision today, the vast academic debate ceases, which by bringing no new argument, for three years has prolonged the isolation of the country's citizens, causing confusion and fear that Kosovo risks losing territory.
Now is the time for the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo to make its merit decision in the interest of the country's citizens, who patiently have been waiting for years for the removal of visas, respectively. HTH
