This is the situation in Albania after floods

The Civil Emergency and Crisis Co-ordination Committee near the prime minister informs of the situation in the country after the floods. According to recent hours data, the situation is moving towards normalisation. The flooded area has continued to be reduced by reaching the value of 2,600 ha, of which 2,500 ha in the Fieri area and about 100 ha in the Lushnja area. Daraski hydrovories continue with full capacity, while the situation in the Vlora and Levan area has normalised.
A intense activity has been developed by ministers and other administration leaders, who have held meetings with businesses and other donors to encourage and organise collection and distribution of aid to citizens affected by the consequences of floods.
With mobile phone operators working on establishing a platform that will enable interested citizens to contribute to families affected through pay messages.
Experts have continued to assess the damage to damaged bridges and have begun repairing some of them. Also, it's working for reinforcements. The threat of landslides and stones on the road still remains. Under these conditions, road users are urged to respect the signal and move carefully.
National Emergency and Armed Forces medical teams have conducted medical visits to residences of affected citizens in Fier and Vlora. State structures have continued cleaning and disinfecting facilities. Work is being done to improve water quality in affected irrigation.
Relief distribution has followed, both from state reserves and those offered by individuals, humanitarian organisations and private companies. Aids from Kosovo, Bulgaria and UN agencies have arrived in the country, as well as others from EU and NATO countries are expected to come.
Measures have been made to repair damaged schools, while learning has not yet been conducted in 7 schools.

We recall that bank accounts have been opened for anyone who wants to contribute, and that the waiting centre and aid management have been established in the Ministry of Defence.
