That is the longest and shortest name in Kosovo

The data on this publication is presented according to the data collection base from the Kosovo Population Record conducted in 2011.

Such a report is published for the first time by AKS, broadcast kp.

These data show that in Kosovo in 2011, the number of different names is 68 122, while the number of different surnames in Kosovo is a total of 26 557 surnames.

As for distribution of names in Kosovo, the longest name (most letters) was that Ismailemail with a total of 13 letters and Mirandaollinda with a total of 12 letters, while the shortest name was with only two letters: Al or Add.

And if we look at the names in the first letter, according to the alphabet, the names mostly begin with the letter A as well as at least in the letter C. A total of 826 names begin with the letter A, while a total of 407 names begin with the letter C.

The most common name in women in Kosovo was the name Fatma with a total of 8 626 people, while the men's most common name was Bajram.

As for the surnames, Krasniqi is the most common last-name in Kosovo with more than 58 199 people wearing that surname.
