Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has been formally banned from competing in the presidential election in next year.
The Central Election Commission has said that Navally is inadequate due to corruption allegations. These allegations, Navalny, has called them politically motivated, writes the BBC, traces Klan Kosova.
He has called on his supporters after this decision to boycott the March elections.
Navalny has been said to have been the candidate with the greatest chance he would challenge incumbent President Vladimir Putin.
