In northern Mitrovica, action to release confiscated property

Over 61m euros is the total value of sales that the Kosovo Privatisation Agency has made during the year we are leaving behind.

So said AKP Manager Ekrem Hajdari at this year's latest conference.

Hajdari even said that a action will be conducted today in northern Mitrovica for the freedom of AKP assets usurped by its Serb residents on the side.

“Today while we are probably talking to our field colleagues, specifically in the Mitrovica regional office are in co-operation with police, planning the latest action for this year to free even some assets that remain the last 3-4 in northern Mitrovica. Because we based on the information we believe this number will reach zero. The entire list of usurpors will be eliminated, most of the Serbian usurpors who have finally expressed a desire to sit down and sign lease contracts with AKP”, Hajdari said.

Calling the year we are leaving behind as very successful Hajdari has mentioned that except in August every month there is a wave of sale through the public tender and a wave that has been suspended, which, according to him, will be so until a signal from the Government.

“Along these 11 waves we've offered for sale approximately 1,000 assets for which we've received over 2 thousand bids and this marks the record this year and that the past years have not been this interest as it was in 2017. The total value of assets offered for sale has reached a record 61m euros in 2017. December the last wave has been very pronounced in value, and it has made it unique that within the 120 assets we have offered for sale we have accepted 371 offers “, Hajdari said.

AKP manager said they have managed to increase the asset value they have offered for sale, where, according to him, during the 2002-2010 average of a bear land has been around 35 euros, while in the last two years, they have managed to double that average.

Hajdari said this applies equally to objects even according to him, the value of 600 euros per square metre as it has now been, is over a thousand square euros.

Director Hajdari said that during 2017, 50 social companies have been deployed.

According to him, 997 credit requirements have been submitted, where 987 have been reviewed by the Special Chamber, where, as Hajdari said this year as a result of reviewing the requirements, he has made final decisions on liquidating and closing 5 social companies. While throughout the year, he said they were paid for creditors of over 6.7m euros.

While another part that does not respond to this invitation will be released through Kosovo police assistance. In addition to releasing the usurpations, he said they have managed to identify 36 new assets during the year, which have not been in the AKP registers. He also said that 10,000 workers have benefited from the 20 percent distribution.

36 assets which have been placed under AKP administration, and processes have already been developed for them. Another fact that characterizes this successful year is the contracts we conclude this year. We have managed to close over 206 contracts. The value of all these contracts still marks a record total of 27m euros. More than 10,000 and 200 social companies have been paid and has seized the distribution figure of over 9 and a half euros”, Hajdari said.

He has said the challenge remains to continue with the work and volume of the AKP's work in 2017.
