Secretary - General NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, has called on Balkan countries to reduce tensions.
“We call on all sides to do what they can to reduce tensions, save stimulating rhetoric and ensure that we do not see any armed conflicts in this region again”, Stoltenberg said today at a press conference in Brussels on the second day of the NATO member countries' meeting foreign ministers.
He stressed that the key “responsibility for the avoidance of evental conflicts, “naturally have countries in the region, but NATO will be there to help and support and ensure that we avoid any kind of armed conflict in the Western Balkans”.
