Vetevendosje Movement MP Albin Kurti has acknowledged that tear gas has been used in the Kosovo Assembly to contest agreements for association and demarcation.
He during today's court hearing has said he has tried pipa, eggs, water and tear gas not to allow the formation of association and ratification of demarcation with Montenegro.
“We've tried with sneezing pillars, with eggs and even more water, and we've tried it with tear gas so we can never allow Serbia's Zajednica in Kosovo and demarcation of the border with Montenegro”, Kurti said.
He said that when they could not speak, they had staged protests both inside and outside the Assembly.
“We have acted in an extreme situation where sovereignty and territorial integrity were being violated and acted in an emergency situation not only extreme. Today these risks have not been eliminated but they are significantly smaller than they were two years ago and I am very happy for this”, Kurti said.
He has stressed that throwing tear gas into the country has benefited Kosovo, as major damage has been prevented.
