KEK invites residents of Hada and Shippitula to sign relocation contracts

The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) called on residents of Hade and Shipule villages to exploit their right to announce within legal terms at KEK's headquarters the Property Department, to sign agreements for relocation not later than until December 15th 2017. “As you are reported, December 01, 2017, [...]

“Sic is reported, on December 01st 2017, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo has made a decision to expropriate these cadastral areas and is now in the best interests of residents and all sides of the interest that this process be completed as soon as possible, so within legal terms, and not to have further delays endangering the actual functioning of the corporation”, the media report said.

In addition, the continuation of the delay in the deal is neither good for the residents, but it is also directly affecting corporate financial stability and workers and, above all, risking the country to remain without electricity or to pay at a multiple-high price for electricity imports”.

To get out of this situation, KEK once again called on residents of Hade and Shiptule villages to reflect on the highly favourable bids of KEK and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, signing the relocation agreements of” as soon as possible.

This action, above all, should be seen as duty and national interest, but also agree with all relevant institutions and the main interest parties which have consistently made efforts for residents of the two villages to offer conditions with the highest international standards for relocation”.
