Their announcement reportedly has no authority for determining the price of electricity, so the warned protest is at the wrong address.
“KEDS, as a company subject to the laws of the Republic of Kosovo, has the obligation to implement the policies of the Power Regulatory Office and has no influence or authority in determining electricity prices”, the report said.
The plan is said to have never been declared to have any price increases, since neither the release nor the establishment is decided by KEDS, so the announced protest is at the wrong address.
We have made this clear in every statement when we are asked. We are surprised that people who are calling to protest still conduct this protest incorrectly toward us, thus questioning its true motive. We want to inform the public that KED is only one of the energy chain acters in Kosovo, with the clear obligation and responsibility for the distribution and supply of electricity”, the ECDS report concludes.
