During the month of October of this year, KED has completed a huge project in the village of Llapashtica in Podujevo, at a total cost of over 200 thousand euros.
The village's energy situation has been heavy enough, where hundreds of homes were being brushed by just one trafo. This was insufficient, and overloads brought frequent interruptions and unable to supply electricity.
The village lies in the western part of Podujevo, and residents mainly do agriculture.
Ramadan Hodolli, a resident of the village that deals with raspberry cultivation, is very pleased with KED investments in these areas.
We're happy about the weather now. We had big problems and often had our equipment burning. I've had four refrigerators burned for myself by the power pressure. Every house has a back-up. Now we're fine, the trafo has come at us 200-300m, ahead of us 2-3 km away,” said Hodolli.
To improve the power grid here KED has placed five new pillars type 10H20-/0 4. KV and that two-man installation-powered trafostacio 100 kVA. The old tower trauma, which has been over 50 years old and in poor condition posed danger to residents, has also collapsed. The same time, 100 pieces of central tension concrete and 164 lower - tension concrete pillars have been placed. Also, ABC's 14,977m low-tensive cable has been extended.
With this investment at the same time, risk has been eliminated, and electricity supply is more quality and quantitative.
For the needs of residents with population growth in the village, KEDS has expanded power capacities here.
Even the owner of a supermarket, Bekim Havolly, says thankfully to the work of KED.
” A disaster when it happens, the entire village remains without power. Now we're working no problem and we're satisfied”, Havol said.
There are 163 families benefiting from this KED investment.
