This statement by Erdogan comes some after the summit of leaders of Muslim states has called on the states of the world to recognize East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine as a retort against American President Donald Trump's decision to recognise Israel's capital Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, members of the Arab League formed ministerial delegations that would fight against American President Donald Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem for the capital of Israel.
The body will be formed with Jordan's initiative, while its goal will be to fight against the controversial decision via diplomatic and media routes. The ministerial delegation will be composed of the foreign affairs ministers of Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, as well as the secretary general of the Arab League.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian delegation has sent a draft resolution to the UN Security Council, which calls for the refusal of the American president's decision on Jerusalem.
This document was sent to UN Security Council member states last night and could be voted into voting next week, but the possibility of the United States vetoing and obstructing the adoption of this proposal is not ruled out.
