In an interview for KosovoPress, Valdete Daka talks about the most difficult moments this year, about who is the most loud in the CEC, its desire to leave the job here, and the president's appointment at the helm of the CEC again.
Daka says that despite what has been done eight years since she has committed to the CEC, however, she will continue to make her contribution there.
And as a result of her great commitment to the CEC, she showed how family members have sometimes complained about her absence at home, while stressing that they are accustomed to it.
The following year, according to her freely, it could be called the CEC's year, as it coincided with the best central and local elections ever held in Kosovo since 2017.
The decertification of candidates turns out to be the most difficult decision I have to make during my work as head of the CEC.
Daka: The most difficult decision was for decertification of candidates
There have been difficult decisions. It was the decision to decertify candidates. That was the hardest decision ever. The decision that has brought the most dilemma to the CEC, but also to the public. Other decisions, are decisions we've usually made in the CEC”, she said.
The application for the Supreme Court's chairman, according to Daka, was a consequence of the end of her mandate in the CEC, and that it had nothing to do with her desire to leave her current job.
Asked about who are the most noisy and quiet members, aka did not name names, but acknowledged that both groups represent at the Central Election Commission.
Meanwhile, for all her work in the CEC, Valdete Daka stressed that a major commitment of her and all staff, with particular emphasis this year, has taken place since Kosovo held parliamentary and local elections, where the latter were also followed by the runoff.
Asked whether Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has received his consent before continuing his mandate in the CEC, Daka said there were no questions about it.
