Attempted Suicide, Two Charged Deny Turnout

Two out of four accused in connection with attempted murder denied they were part of this crime.

Dritmir Ahmeti and Guzim Ibishi were acquitted of the work of serious attempted murder.

The accused of not warning of preparing criminal acts, Dritmir Ahmeti said that on the critical night he was in his house taking care of his mother, who said she was then sick.

The critical night I was with my mother at home because she was sick. For a month all the time I've been with him. When the case happened I wasn't there”, said accused Drimir Ahmeti.

But the prosecutor of the case, Besa Limani, confronted the accused with his earlier statement to the police, in which Dritmir Ahmeti had said that when Remzi Beqiri's attempted lock happened, he was in a friend.

The prosecutor sought to know where the accused had been on May 7, 2015 -- caring for his mother, or a friend.

The accused claimed that he may even have stayed with that friend because he is a neighbor and very often stuck together.

For those injured, Sadiku and Remzi Beqiri said they do not know them, but only in court has they met.

The court's chief, Susan Cerkini, later asked the witness if she had heard that other accused Leotrim Krasniqi or Sokol Neziri had made a plan to attack the injured.

But the witness said he had not heard of any such plan.

Even the other accused, Gezim Ibishi, stated that on the critical night, he had been at home with his family members.

He said that despite the problems he had previously had with the injured, he had never taken any action to hurt them.

These guys said I was there, but I can believe what they said, because I wasn't. These guys hurt me once, and that's what they said I went out with you, but I met Remzi Beqiri and I reacted. Although many times I have been provoked by car in the street”, accused Guzim Ibishi said.

For the injured, Remzi Beqiri said he knows Sadik only from this case, after meeting him in court, while Remzi Beqiri said he knows him from earlier because they had had some problems between them.

Ibishi said that for problems with Remzi Beqiri, police had announced, but said he has never received an answer to what happened to the case.

I've been beaten by Santea. I've been shot by the phone by hitting me. I've seen the video footage on Remzi Beqiri's Facebook. I've called the case in the police, but no one's called me in for that job, no injuries, nothing. It's been three-four years now” said accused Ibishi.

Asked by the prosecutor how he understood Remzi Beqiri's attempted murder, the witness said that after leaving home for the event he understood from the neighbours.

The prosecutor then confronted him with his statement given earlier this witness had stated that he understood it from his father.

The truth is, the procuro asked him, and the witness said that it may have happened that he understood it from his father, but when he left, they told the neighbors.

The next session will be held on January 26th, where the other indictee Sokol Neziri is expected to provide the defence.

At the last session due to the absence of indictee Dritmir Ahmeti's court had decided to separate the subject from him, but after this hearing the accused appeared, the court in compliance with the parties took a plea to unite the accused, while isolating himself with the other accused, Leotrim Krasniqi, who, despite house arrest, has not appeared in court.

According to the indictment filed by prosecutor Besa Limani, Leotrim Krasniqi, who has been isolated from the subject, is accused of committing a serious murder in attempted and illegal weapons.

He is accused of deliberately taking life out of injury to Remzi Beqiri, firing on unknown automatic weapons towards the car in which the damaged Remzi Beqiri and Sadiku stood were injured.

The work remains to be attempted because bullets have not fired the injured, but the tires and windows of the car's front doors.

Meanwhile, Gezim Ibishi, Dritmir Ahmeti and Sokol Neziri are accused together of committing criminal work “on the basis of preparing criminal acts”.
