The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has announced that it has handed over to PZAP, within legal terms the complaint regarding the declaration, and, as it says, distorting the outcome of the civic vote in the CEC's presidential elections.
“AAK, through complaint, rejects the election outcome declared by the CEC, and has applied PZAP, to cancel the announced outcome due to numerous violations confirmed in the Istogin municipality”, is said in the AAK media communiqué.
The AAK, requires that the municipality of Istog go to revote and the will of the citizens of this municipality be established.
AAK, inform the public that the complaint is based on these arguments:
1. Serious violations of the Constitution, namely Article 45 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, have been made to guarantee the right of each citizen of Kosovo to exercise the right to choose and vote.
Through the departure of more than 100 votes of those who have voted on bail, who have completed 18 years before election day, the CEC has distorted results and made serious violations of the Constitution.
- Manipulation, illegal vote buying and pressure in the recent elections in Istog has been extraordinary.
The arrests of LDK officials on election day as well as public statements of various persons and in the presence of high LDK structures, which have spent up to 50,000 francs on vote trading, as well as the exercise of pressure on voters from municipal officials who have been election observers. Officials from the Istogur Community Procurement Office have been observers of a certain political party, and the law in power does not allow municipal officials to be active in a political party and especially in one in the election process to be used to exert pressure on voters.
3. The assistance vote, which has been used as a method of proving vote buying, has happened to young people who have not needed assistance, and this confirms the Association Network report “democracy in Action”, which says that up to 20% voters have voted on assistance.
The AAK, believes in serious and fair action in respecting Kosovo's laws and Constitution and establishing the will of citizens in the country. For AAK, the Constitution and the law are above all and nobody has “tapi” retaining power through all sorts of manipulations. The AAK will not allow violations of the Laws and Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo by any violator or political gang for any kind of purpose.
We call on the citizens of Istog to maintain calm and soon their will for the mayor of the municipality will be put in place.
